This overnight safari takes you to Tsavo East National Park, one of Kenya’s largest and most iconic wildlife reserves, split into two sections—Tsavo East and Tsavo West—by the Mombasa-Nairobi highway.
Tsavo East is renowned for its unique wildlife, including the legendary maneless lions and red-dust-covered elephant herds. The park is home to diverse animal species, and visitors on this safari have a high chance of spotting them. Key attractions within Tsavo East include Mudanda Rock, Yatta Plateau, Lugard Falls, the Galana and Tsavo Rivers, Kanderi Swamp, and Aruba Dam.
For bird enthusiasts, Tsavo East is a paradise, boasting over 500 bird species, making it one of Kenya’s top birding destinations. Some of the remarkable birds found here include ostriches, kestrels, buzzards, starlings, weaver birds, kingfishers, hornbills, secretary birds, herons, and the African finfoot, among others. The park hosts both resident and migratory bird species, with migratory birds arriving from Europe and northern Africa between November and April.
